Hi, I’m Anca

I'm the face behind Copy & Coffee, so I thought I'd introduce myself and my office assistant, Dora the Dachshund. I can't tell you what she does (though I’m sure it’s incredibly important work) but I can tell you a little bit about me.

I'm a freelance copywriter, first of all. I am Romanian + British and I lived and worked in London until 2021, when I relocated to Bologna and started Copy & Coffee to re-introduce myself to the creative world.

Then along came the newsletter, too. You can see it as a sort of behind-the-scenes, because I have no intention to keep it all formal. I wanted a space to write freely about things related – more or less, anyway – to my work.

I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism and Media Studies and a Master’s in Marketing from the University of Portsmouth in the United Kingdom, as well as 7+ years of experience in all things writing and editing.

This newsletter is where I’ll share my thoughts on writing, marketing & creativity — and the highs and lows of working for yourself. I may not have all the answers, but I’m out here looking for them. Because I sure have all the questions, too.
