What to do when you don't want to do anything (especially the thing you really should be doing). 🤷🏻
Don't feel like it today?
Well, that happens. If you're anything like me... yeah. It really does happen!
But from what I have learned, there are usually two ways to solve this problem.
You can rely on the motivation to really, really, really want to do it... And it will come! One day. For sure.
You can create the discipline to do it, no matter how you feel. Right now, even! Yes, I know you don't feel like it today.
Here's the thing: I know it's way more fun to be motivated while pursuing your goals.
But motivation is an emotion, and like any other emotion, it's not supposed to always be there. (Phew!)
The good news is that you can be unmotivated and still get it done if you choose option number two.
This strange ability we call discipline can help you keep going even when you'd much rather go back to bed in your "Today has been cancelled" pjs.
(Which, surely, you have too... ?)
And you need discipline to back you up, because there will be days when it seems – read: is – impossible to stay motivated.
As Henry Miller said, "When you can't create you can work."
